Just goes back to the old saying give a man a fish he eats for a day teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime... Well done well done young man.Reminds me of myself and my brother about 45 years ago I was 10 brother close to 8 we wanted too fish but had no money so Dad made our poles from small green branches the line was I believe heavy sewing thread the bobber a empty thread spool the sinker was a small steel nut we were lucky too have real hooks the bait was corn/small breadballs and off we went , there were two other kids with fancy poles and with flies/lures that were laughing at us making insults but my brother and I did catch a fish while the other kids had no luck and BOY they got mad but me & bro were thrilled with the catch we had although they were only about 4 inches but we run run home with our fish and told Mom & Dad all about it.
