If you place the turbines on top of your dam, it does not make any sense to build the dam in a first place. In your case the power output is the same as turbine in the river, which is basically none. Also the water from the overflow cannot just fall down to the base of the dam, it will destroy the dam in a few weeks.How fun is this!?! I love these projects! This is how I would want to spend my retirement years. These are a joy to watch.
