We had these in the Army in Alaska in the 80's. They were SUSV, M973. They were excellent in the deep snow, and they were capable of "swimming". The biggest fault was the 5 cyliner Mercedes engine. It was prone to headgasket failure and overheating. The M973A1 version had a 6 cylinder Mercedes engine that better.
