I love the trim attached to the table. I've never seen it done that way. I really like the elongated S pieces, the routing was a good idea. The whole bottom piece that the 'S' pieces attach to is too 'square' (even though it's rectangular) bulky, & and heavy looking. It detracts from the rest of the table. What I think (imho) it would have looked better to make the 'S' pieces larger and more like scrolled 'S's and joined them together, reinforced by a small (thick) hoop shape piece & above it as larger hoop shape. There really isn't a need for a shelf down there. It’s not the table to me it’s the guys skill. What impressed me was the freehand penciling the border on the legs. If you have ever worked with wood you know a micron lapse in concentration and you are done then it’s repair time.
