If that is an Erickson Sky Crane there is a control person on the ground making sure nobody gets in the flight path and everyone is wearing safety gear. Erickson holds a safety meeting at the pick site and at the load landing location. I know on one of my picks the information given to Erickson was not correct, the generator weighed 1,500 lbs. more than the paperwork claimed. We were still OK, but the pilot did make sure to let the generator supply company know he was not happy. These guys are good at what they do, better to drop a load than crash a Sky Crane.
