Nothing like the smell of hot asphalt in the morning!!Been there done that in Texas for a couple years, loved the job but a bigger company bought us out and I didn't like it after that as much, I can remember well having to spray the bed down with diesel after emptying out in front of the lay down machine then pulling off the side of the road to spray, then back to the plant for another load of asphalt, we could only go about 75 miles out before the asphalt would start to set up in the bef and believe me you don't want that, it's like having to chop a hiway out the trailer no fun whatsoever. Some good memories.
