After seeing this video I finally didn't hesitate to buy a new one.I don't think Nasa will be using that method any time soon.what was the whole point of stripping and soaking the battery shell cover bits again? When all you had to do was buy some aluminium welding sticks.Hahaha......I just got off line ordering an new part. Very educational.
