Extremely creative carpentry with wooden slats skvc

Foarte talentati acesti mesteri.Felicitari si mult succes.I used to make 3" wide hand drum frames. Generally my orders were for 100 pieces at a time so I had several clamps per each diameter I made. A lot of your technique reminds me of my early experiments with working out the system for clamping. It's interesting how a small change in diameter = a large change in length of slats. Not to give too much away my clamps ended up being of clam shell design utilizing one bar clamp and a hinge. It was a prerequisite not to have anything but tight joints between the three layers of slats. Now the big secret, the clam shell provides clamping force from the outside while the inner slat cut slightly long provide clamping force from the inside. Generally the force exerted provided good glue squeeze out along the entire seam. It's best to have a precision thickness of the slats in order to calculate a precision length for the slats. Of course you lamp is nice also and reminds me of the time I made an impeller for a dust collection system.
