I've been running my Hydro-Turbines for 18 years now, They have a nominal running rate of 200 Amps each and there is two of them in my system. There maintenance costs has been $400 dollars in the 18 years, thus far. They generate more power than I will likely ever need. It runs the house, barn, machine shed, shop, wells and power and machine tools, everything. Last year I added a 2000KWh Solar array, just to make sure. Not having an electric bill in 18 years has been great. The best part of it all is it all came from government surplus, except for some of my drop pipe for the inlet, and it was cheap.
