Former NFL wide receiver Chandler Jones, a professional football coach, has sadly passed away.

Jones is reported to have died in a car accident a week ago after being struck by a driver in Los Angeles.
He was only 33.
The former WR was a standout at San Jose State, where he was known as “The Jet” for his blistering pace. He was a coach and player for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL at the time of his death.
According to California Highway Patrol officials, per FOX Sports, Jones was struck by the driver of a Toyota RAV4 on the eastbound lanes of the 90 freeway around 2:00 a.m. last Sunday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of former assistant defensive backs coach Chandler Jones. He was a passionate and dedicated coach whose professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression on the organization,” the Alouettes said in a statement.
San Jose State published a statement of its own.
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of alum, Chandler Jones ‘09. Jones was a standout player on Bishop’s football team and still holds the record for longest kick-off return (97 yards) and longest fumble recovery (98 yards),” they said.

A convicted serial killer who once claimed to have murdered 70 people gave a bizarre shoutout to Donald Trump moments before being executed.
Glen Rogers, dubbed the ‘Casanova Killer’ due to his charm and long blond hair, spent nearly 30 years on death row before being put to death by lethal injection at Florida State Prison on Thursday, May 15, per The Guardian. He was 62.
Rogers was convicted of brutally killing two women in 1995 (34-year-old Tina Marie Cribbs and 33-year-old Sandra Gallagher) just weeks apart. But authorities believe the true body count could be much higher. At one point, Rogers reportedly told investigators he was responsible for up to 70 murders across multiple states.
Nicknamed the ‘Casanova Killer’ due to his looks and ability to seduce women in bars, Rogers would lure his victims in with charm before violently turning on them.
Cribbs, a mother of two, met Rogers in a bar in Tampa. He convinced her to give him a ride home, she was later found dead in a motel bathtub. Her car was missing, and police tracked Rogers down after a high-speed chase in Kentucky, where he was caught behind the wheel of her stolen vehicle.
Just weeks earlier, Rogers had also murdered Gallagher in California. After meeting her at a Van Nuys bar, he strangled her and set her body on fire near his apartment. He was later sentenced to death in California for that crime too.
Investigators believe Rogers may have committed a string of other murders across Florida, California, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Ohio. In 2012, his brother Clay claimed in a documentary (My Brother the Serial Killer) that Rogers was behind the infamous 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, a theory dismissed by LAPD, according to Fox News.
As he faced execution last week, Rogers chose pizza, chocolate cake, and a soda for his final meal. But it was his last words that really left a mark, the Daily Star reports. “President Trump, keep making America great,” he said, just moments before the injection. “I’m ready to go.”

Dozens more remain missing, and the death toll is expected to rise as the search continues.
Among those who were missing was 21-year-old Joyce Badon and her three friends, Ella Cahill, Reese Manchaca and Aiden Heartfield, who were spending the July 4 weekend together at a country house along the river.
By the early hours of the morning, that house was gone.
Last contact
Joyce’s father, Ty Badon, told CNN that the family last heard from the group during a phone call with Aiden’s dad, who owns the house they were staying.
“We were told that they were on the phone… and then the phone went dead,” he said, adding that the house “is no longer there.”
Badon explained that Aidan told his dad, “’Hey I’ve got to go, I’ve got to help Ella and Reese…they just got washed away,’ and then a few seconds later the phone just went dead, and that’s all we know,” the 21-year-old’s father said, recalling his last contact with the group.
‘Flash flood’
On Facebook, Joyce’s mother Kellye, shared an emotional post, begging online users to pray for her daughter.
“A flash flood came through and washed their cars away. It happened so quickly with so much water, they could not get in the attic,” she explained, adding that “Aidan Heartfield, called his dad as it happened,” and then “he [and two] others got washed away by debris.”
The last person Aiden’s dad spoke with was Joyce, Kellye said.
